We didnt dress her in this for the holiday because she wouldnt have been able to move well so she wore this to church this past sunday. enjoy!

Dash Going to Work

Dash likes to play go to works. i think because daddie goes almost every day and mommie goes on fridays. So he packs his bag..not sure if it his lunch like daddie or his work bag like mommie. He got his boots, hat, and asked for help with his coat. It is so cute to see him pretend. It is even better when i dont have to convince him that he is not going for real so i dont have to deal with meltdowns!

Monkey Joes

Dash always ends up on his back when he comes down the slide! All the other moms think it is funny to watch!

Dash learned to Bounce on his way to the stairs today! Kinda scary how impressionable kids are at this stage in life!

This doesnt show that many kids there, but this was early. By time we left you couldnt see the chairs from where the picture was taken!

Today the kids and I went to Monkey Joes. It is this "new" place in Waukesha over by Sams Club. We met some friends there at 10. The place was a mad house. So we got in line, paid, and went in. Another friend of ours was going to meet us there a bit later. She got there around 11 and they wouldnt let her in because the place was at capacity! Thankfully most of the kids there were on the younger side not the older side so the kids were able to still have fun! Despite the crowd we were able to stay three and half hours! Both kids were asleep by time we came home. I was pretty tired too!

This place is the best thing that could come to WI! What it is a place of bounce house style slides. Perfect to let winter energy out! It is fairly resaonbly priced. 0-2 is $5, 3-12 is $8 and 12+ are free. Now if you are 13+ you are not allowed to play unless accompaning your 4 and under child. So i get to go on(but no bouncing). They also have a little arcade area...what kid place doesnt! Dash kept wanting to play the games but i dont want to start that! So he got kinda sad a few times that he couldnt play. The first time we went there was maybe 10 other kids there his age or younger so they were not playing games. It was harder to keep him away today since all the "bigger" kids got to play ball games! Nothing a blue and red icee couldnt fix :)

Another Flood?

The thoughts of another flood are becoming more and more realistic. With the amount of snow we have had so far this winter, looking at the spring makes us nervous. If we follow how things go, we are suppose to get the same amount of snow(in inches) in rain the following spring(in inches) and the 50degree Saturday we just had showed us we have new water entry points in the basement.

We have been placed on a National Flood Zone as of November 2008 and are therefore required to have flood insurance. If we do get flooded we would have coverage, but in the meantime with the new water entry points we can definately not put our play room in the basement nor can we add another room(much needed come june). I was pretty sadened by this fact because i had our "new" house all planned out. The kids upstairs with a living room while we were downstairs with the play room. But the way things are paning out it looks like we will have our room still upstairs and the 3 kids in the one bedroom with no playroom but the living room!

We continue to pray about what we are suppose to do with the house. We can not sell it...webuyuglyhouses.com doesnt even want it!!!! We dont have the money to upgrade the house to fit our family.

BOY!?! or Girl!?!

This past Saturday I have finally determined my feelings as to what I think we are having. Based on the color of my pee i predict boy. I forget the way the wives tale goes but it was true with Dash and Sammie. My pee color was differant and this time it matches Dash's time around.

Why do i look at my pee? Since i was a runner the best way(and for non runners) to tell if you are hydrated well or not is the color of your pee. The lighter the color the better hydrated you are. that is why when you wake up in the morning it is usually really dark. So i am just in habit to look. I noticed it right away with Dash the color then saw the wives tale. With Sammie and this one it took a bit before i noticed the color change but it does happen.

We shall see how right this pans out for us this time around come february.

Jesus' Birthday Cake

It is nothing fancy, but this is the cake we made to celebrate Jesus' Birthday. Dash helped make the cake and i frosted. Since Jesus couldnt blow out the candles, Dash and Sammie helped.

We got Dash some Cars boots this year...in hopes he would want to wear them. Which he does. However, so does his sister! Sammie will go to the back area and put on the boots herself. Ironically, she walks better in them. Keeps her feet straight!

During 3 out of the 4 WI seasons we stand on the front porch and say bye to daddy as he goes to work. During the 4th season we just open the front door and stand inside. Well since WI has a weird winter and we are to reach 50 today, I thought it would be ok to go outside to say bye. But i am not the one that initiated that one. All of sudden Dash came to me with a hat and his brown shoes on and said "mama front door". Ok, we can go say bye to daddy.

Jesus' Birfday

Dash and Sammie had helped us put up the Christmas tree this year. We were given a new one after our two were flooded. The one we were given is a pre-lit and smaller. So we were able to start decorating a lot sooner :)
We bought the kids some new ornaments(Cars and Princess) to put on themselves and that were not glass. Most of our ornaments are glass! After we had the tree decorated we put the star up and Dash said "mama, birfday" WOW way to observe or just know. I am not sure where he thought that from, all i can think is that the lights looked like candles.
I said you are right Dash it is Jesus' Birthday. "Yeah birfday". And we all know that cake is one of the best parts in celebrating a birthday. Thus starts the tradition of making a birthday cake for Christmas!

"B"

When Sammie was born Dash didnt have too great of talking skills yet. So he started calling her "B" I guess for baby, but since we would just call him "D" he decided he could shorten her name to one letter. Well, "B" is officially her nick name. She responds to it and it was really the only thing Dash called her until yesterday...We were looking at the pictures of the gingerbread houses we just made on TV and Dash was naming the people in the pictures...Dash, Sammie, Mom.

It was so cool. It came out crystal clear that he was saying Sammie. No slurred S or anything. It was such a cool moment in the Cohan house. He still calls her B but when talking about her will call her Sammie!

Baby

At this point I am 14 weeks.

I have been feeling pretty good so far. Just really tired. Which would be expected with two toddlers in the house already. I am starting to show and it is getting a bit harder to bend down and tie my shoes. Which is going to make for a long 7 months! Thankfully I am due in June and that is flip flop season...hopefully:)

I will keep you updated as I learn more, but in the mean time taking predictions....

Gingerbread Houses

Gingerbread Houses

Today we made gingerbread houses out of grahmcrackers, powdered sugar, and frosting. Sammie pretty much just wanted to lick the frosting while dash put more on the house than ate :)

I am excited to keep up this tradition.
