Potty Training

I would like to say that Sammie is doing wickedly awesome at going on the potty. She annoying goes pee sized uckie all day long to receive her square treats(starburst). But she is going in the toilet so I will take it :) She has been dry every day during her nap and woke up most mornings dry, but usually goes in her pull up before getting on the potty. I know with Dash, that was one of the last times to get down, because really who wants to go to the bathroom as soon as they wake up. She is even able to go most the day without wearing the vinyl cover :) I am so proud of her :)

Imagination

Sammie has quite the imagination. On our ride home from Uncle Daniel's birthday party.....

"Mom, where the penguin, snowman, and bear?"
"They are sleeping"
"Can I wake them up?"
"No, that would not be kind"
"Can I tell them sorry?"
"Yes"
"where are they? Mom, The penguin, snowman, and bear nigive(forgive) me?"
"yes"
"Ohhhhhhh, they wake up!"
"oh, the penguin, bear, and snowman wake up?"
"yes, where are they?"

That's really all I can recall, because this conversation went on for about 10 minutes. It mostly went in circles with Ryan laughing at her. However, when we got home and applied the hydrocortizone cream and distributed the benedryl, she asked if she could go outside to say good night to the penguin, snowman, and bear.~these animals that she is referring to are the mascots from the Waukesha Janboree, I will get pictures up later.

Potty Day 4

Today was day 4 of official potty training on Sammie. I have had enough of pull ups and I know she is capeable and I am able to give her the time she needs. Day 1 I was gone and she was home with Grandma and Uncle Jim and she did awesome for Day 1. Day 2 we went to Monkey Joes and she did ok. Day 3 I called Ryan and asked him to remind me why we were doing this, but with perserverance, today, Day 4 was accident FREE!

What's That...Kinda a...

Sammie has been full of goofy lately....
whenever she hears something she says,

"What's that? or I hear something."
when she goes to tell you what the sound was...
"It's kinda..." She cracks me up!

Dear God,

Tuesday in the van on our way to Beth's house do I hear,

"Dear God, I love Dashie. I love Dashie. I love Dashie. Dear God, I love Ali girlie. Dear God, I love Bethie. Dear God, I love Mommy." ~ Sammie Girl Aged 2

It is so cool to listen to her pray!

It is also so cool to hear how differant the kids pray. Sammie gives more praises and Dash gives more status updates. Either way I think it is cool that they are praying like this already! Sure are light years ahead of me!

Dear Jesus....

At every meal time I ask Dash to pray and he usually does, but now that Sammie is getting more verbal I have been asking her if she would like to pray. I want her to know that she is just as important to Jesus as Dash. Usually when I ask her to pray she says, "no thank you". Tonight she said yes and here is a very close replica of her prayer:

"Dear Jesus, I love Dash.
Dear Jesus, I love Ali, Ali, I love Ali, Ali(repeated several times)
Dear Jesus, I love Mommy's face.
Dear Jesus, I love Ali's food.
Dear Jesus, I love Dash's hand.
'Sammie are you done'
No~
Dear Jesus, I love applesauce.
Dear Jesus, I love....and proceeds to tell Him more things that she loves that are at the kitchen table."

I did end up cutting her off otherwise I think we would have been there for quite some time!

Ali Duck

Ali WAS a champ at these treatments! She sat there very patiently and usually fell asleep during them. Yes her show was on, but even if it wasnt shed do awesome :) I am so proud of her :)

We think we know why her cold devloped into the asthma symptoms....allergy to MOTRIN!

distracted

Some would say that I am easily distracted, yet some might call it ADD. Do i think that I am clinically ADD, no but I am very easily distracted. I log on to Facebook too many times during the day. I depend on my phone longing for someone to text me so I have someone to talk to through out the day. Are these things bad, no, but when they interfere with my kids, they are. So I am taking this next week and turning my phone off until 8pm and keeping the computer off until that time as well. Hopefully this will allow me time to connect with the kids and work on a routine that will work with three children. I am looking forward to this challenage as well as looking forward to seeing God at work. Unfortunately Satan will be working too hard as well. So please pray for me to follow God's desires not Satan's. Please pray with me to follow through and to be the mom He created me to be.
