Happy 9th Birthday

9 years ago.....
*you were 5 days late
*it took 2 days of labor to bring you into this world
*I was admitted to the hospital at 1:30 am
*At 5:30 am we found out you would need to go straight the warmer, you had pooped in the womb
*we named you womb pooper
*you had lots of grandparents awaiting your arrival and visiting us at the hospital
*At 4:30 pm it was time to start pushing
*at 6:26 pm your face arrived into this world; this momma and daddy couldn't have been more proud
*it was close, things were getting complicated, but your Dad NEVER allowed your mom to know how dangerous things were getting
*you were admitted to the Waukesha Memorial NICU
*you showed you were a fighter
*you had A LOT of visitors that were not able to see you! Winston LittlefieldKim Rauscher Littlefield Lisa Molnar John Molnar Ashlyn Kaye Roberts Callie Pagel Gretchen Hein Doese (i know there were more, but I didn't take any pictures because they couldn't see you)
*you had to stay at the hospital an extra day because you were on an antibiotic to prevent a lung infection
*the movie cars came out and you saw it in theaters
*you changed my life forever and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Dash Cohan, I cannot believe you are turning 9 this year!
In the past 9 years you have learned that Jesus is your Savior and have accepted Him as that. You have learned what it takes to be a GREAT big brother. In the past 9 years you have taught me what it takes to be a GREAT mom. You have taught me how to love in a way that I never knew was possible. You love to prove to others that nothing matters; race, age, special gifts from Above; you are ready to look past it ALL and have fun. You LOVE having fun! Dash, it has been a blast being your mom, provider, care taker, protector, these past 9 years, now it is time to change and move more towards teaching you how to be that grown up. Teaching you how to be the man God created you to be. We have worked on it and laid that foundation, now it is time to build it up so when you leave me in 9 SHORT years, you will have all you need to live the life God created you to live.

Serving Others

It has been several years since we have had the opportunity to serve in this manner. When the kids were smaller, before any of them started school, we found ourselves ringing bells weekly. This year we rang again. However, instead of weekly, we did it once. It was  long time for the kids, but they did great. It was near the end that it was getting tough. Can't wait to continue to tradition!

Christmas Morning 2013

Our Christmas is spread out between two days. On Christmas Eve the Pagel side comes to our house and we do our family Christmas with theirs. Then on Christmas morning we open stockings then head to the Cohans then head to the Mikesells.

We use Christmas to celebrate Jesus' birthday. On Christmas eve we include a cake and everything. On Christmas morning we open the best gift that's ever been given.....
Our Manger sits empty all season long.

Until we open Baby Jesus on Christmas Day!
It is his birth we celebrate on this Holy Day. It is on this day we add him to the stable!

St. Nick 2013

Keeping with annual tradition St. Nick brought jammies, hats, and mittens for the kids!

Ginger Bread House Tradition

Each year we get together with the Webers and create our own Gingerbread houses! This year(2013) even Ms. Heidi and McKenna made one!
