When I get Older

The other day when I picked Dash up from school, Sammie asked me,

"Mom, when I get older can you get me a phone of my very own?"

Which then provoked this question,

"Mom, when I get older and bigger can you get me a Francesco-Bernoulli car?" Dash

Heart

Tonight/Today Dash asked Jesus into his heart!

It all came about when:

Sammie was looking at the door at some Hallmark Valentine Decorations I bought. It was a pink tree with hearts for leaves. You can put it up on a wall and the surface is dry erase. So I put our family, God, Jesus, and a few a the kids friends names up on the tree.
Tonight:
Sammie: "Mom, why do I have a big heart?"
Me: "Because you have Jesus in your heart."
Dash: "Me too!"
Me: "You asked Jesus into your heart? When?"
Dash: "Yeah, Jesus and God. In my head at M-A-G-Double E."
Me: "When? Today?"
Dash: "yeah Jesus and God today, in my head at M-A-G-double E"

I responded with praise and hugs.

It continued though. Tonight at my Dad's house I was excited to share that Dash had asked Jesus into his heart today at school. He then sang this song in the van on our way home,
"Jesus, God please come into my heart. Please, please, please, please. Come into my heart. Please, please."

I was able to tell him then that once you ask Jesus "(and God)" into your heart he is with you always! God says he will never ever leave you or forsake you!

while eating the yogurt raisins served with lunch, I look over and see Ali demolishing them.

"Ali, please stop that and just eat them."

"No, I making my babies hatch!"

I guess white yogurt covered raisins could resemble an egg ;-)

New Orleans

Grandma and Grandpa just got back from New Orleans and this is what the kids came home with. Along with a neck full of beads for Ali, Ali's own mask, and a coin for Dash.

ahh, the good 'ole times

We were able to go the park today! It felt very nice! The temperature was starting to cool off, but it was still in the 40s. Nothing a winter coat couldn't handle. The kids have complained that we don't get to do anything fun at the new house.

"At the old house we ALWAYS went to the zoo and the park."

Now we have a new park, one we need to drive to, but one we can call ours :)

Tangled

Ali's current favorite movie is Tangled.

Her favorite lines to quote from it:
"Don't freak out!"
"Ok, Mother."

My favorite line is:
"Don't be a dummy, Come with mommy."

shower

I think this means I need to shower more often:

sammie this am: if someone is taking a shower that means they are going to work.....

I guess that means I only shower every friday and every other sunday

something I'd never thought I'd say

mom: ali, stop pulling out the toilet paper
ali: no I not. Its my seat belt(said as she clicks herself into her little potty chair with toilet paper stretched across her lap)
mom: ALI THAT IS NOT A SEAT BELT now wipe your butty butt

I am making a DVD of the flood and as I was looking at old pictures of the old house, I came across these. They are from 8-12-07, 3 days before I had Sammie

Happy 100th Day of School

Today Dash's class celebrated the 100th Day of school. They had collections of 100 items they brought in, Dash brought in 100 coins. They had a special treat/snack of 100 items. They read a few books about the 100th Day of Kindergarten. They made special 100 day crowns and decorated them! He was extremely tired today! He was ready for bed at 5:30!

Open Enrollment

It is that time of year! I have open enrolled Sammie into the Kettle Moraine District, now it is up to Jesus if she gets in! I sure hope she does!
