We are Home!

We arived back home this morning about 1:30am. We shaved 2 hours off the trip, because we didn't have to stop to sleep. We left the Doese's around 11am on Saturday am. We ate lunch, but stopped and got out for dinner. We were trying to find a Mc D with a playland, but we couldn't find one. :( I drove the first 7 hours and then Ryan drove the 2nd 7 hours. We didn't run into any weather until we hit Chicago, where we hit some freezing rain. The kids did pretty good on the ride home. We did not get out any movies until after dinner at which time I put in 2. I didn't make it 10 minutes into the 2nd one and the same with Sammie. I am not sure what time Dash fell asleep, but I don't think it was too long after me. Ali fell asleep pretty quickly after dinner. She had a rough night, kept waking up. All three kids woke up when we got home. Ali's first words were "Show? Elmo?" I guess we watch shows too much when we first get home. Sammie too asked to watch a show. But they were both disappointed and told no. We came in and got Jammies on. I tucked Dash in and he was out pretty quickly. Ali I sang to and Sammie I recited Snuggle Puppy and Pajama Time then sang to her. Sammie was up about 20 minutes later, she was concerned because we did not take our medicine before bed(which we did after dinner) so I had to remind her of that and put her back into bed. I finally got to bed and I don't even know how long, but I had both girls in my room. Ali snuggled in and fell asleep while Sammie stood next to the bed waiting for her turn. I put the girls back into bed. They were both out again about 5:45am. I gathered that Ali was done sleeping. I tried putting them back to bed, but 15 min later Ali was up again. I know she went to sleep rather early so I let her and Sammie get up to watch a show so Dash, Ryan, and I could sleep. I dont know when Dash woke up, but he was excited to be home! Unfortunately, we had next to no food in the house because I wanted nothing sitting here for a week. So they were a bit grumpy because we had no milk or juice! We spent the day being lazy and barely getting out of jammies. I had to take Sammie to Urgent Care tonight because she was coughing so hard she threw up twice. I didn't want to risk it thinking it may have been pnamonia since she has had the cough for months now! All it is, sinus infection. I went and bought some cough syrup until we get her perscription cough syrup tomorrow. The cough has settled down a bit since she had the syrup, hopefully she will get some good sleep tonight. I have really enjoyed time away from our house and with all of us together as a family.
