The other day as I was taking Sammie to school, she was telling me the name of her stuffed Dog. I repeated the name and called it a he.
"No, Mom, Bella is a girl. You can tell it is a girl, because (pause) boys are handsome and she is pretty."
Ah, the perfect way to tell boys and girls apart for a 4 year old!
