Well, kinda. Yesterday I was in the kitchen cleaning up lunch or dinner and i heard dash reading. I looked over and he was reading Green Hat, Blue Hat by Sandra Bouyton.
Now, was he reading the words. Not exactly, but he was looking at the pictures and stating what he saw. But what he was saying were the words.
Example:
one page is four animals dressed in differant color shirts. The first three are wearing it correctly and the last is wearing it goofy.
so Dash went on,
Red Shirt, Blue Shirt, Yellow Shirt, Oops!
the exact words that are under the picture. It was so cool! He flipped the page and read the whole book! The last part is tricky because it is the same animal that is wearing things wrong through out the book and at the end is wearing them correctly and it names what he is wearing and dash did that too....including the purple socks which are in parenthases! it was so cool! i know he is getting so close to being able to read simple words, i just need to work on it with him.
Now, if potty training could come this easy :)
