When I took Sammie to the Dr. Saturday morning we did not see our Dr as it was not his weekend to work. The Dr we saw looked at her ears on Thursday when we were in so she knew what she was comparing. She said that Sammie's ears have improved but are not healed. She opted to not give her the 3rd shot in the series stating that the antibiotic will be in her system another day. She said that if Sammie continues to have the nasal drainage through the week to bring her back in or if she doesnt pick up her appitite, or other signals that her ears are still bothering her, to bring her back in. So at this point we have only postponed the discussion of tubes.
I feel so bad for Sammie. She is going around the house saying "owie" and showing me her toes. Until today I just thought that she was mocking Dash from a few days ago. Ryan told me that she is trying to tell me about her shot owie! She squirms everytime I go to change her diaper thinking she is going to get another shot. I feel horrible! But thats what we as moms get to enjoy :)
Please pray with us that if Sammie is to get tubes that God make it ever clear and help me to be at peace with it.
